The peddling of false realities by Holywood creates an International American brand that promotes a concept of the American lifestyle that many people not only in the US aspire to, but citizens of other countries. For the most part the programming resulting from the programs and films demonstrates an unreality of the American lifestyle.
Hollywood also creates and supports the illusion of US Exceptionalism that penetrates the subconscious minds of the viewers. This too is for international consumption as well as domestic.
The US film industry by feeding the biases of the domestic audience is at the same time turning the brains of viewers worldwide to mush.
